Beelonia Küchenchef 1 electric smoker for indoor use

The Küchenchef 1 is Beelonia's answer to the most common deal-breaker question: "I don't have a garden – can I still smoke?" Yes: electric heating with precise control, a compact 62×42×65 cm, 18 fish on three levels – and an exhaust connection that guides the smoke outside in a controlled manner. For 2,044.42 €, it turns your kitchen, cellar or commercial kitchen into a smokehouse.

The exhaust air is the only real planning question: The smoke must go outside – via the catering hood, a window or wall duct, or the house chimney. The 130 mm connection takes standard pipes; in locations without a chimney, the smoke filter (6,616.40 €) takes care of the cleaning. No smoker may be run freely in a closed room – carbon monoxide is odourless.

What it can do: Everything the small outdoor smokers can do – trout, hot-smoked salmon, cheese in cold smoke (with a cold smoke generator), poultry – just indoors and independent of the weather. The electric control maintains temperatures to the exact degree; for drying and long sessions, the indoor climate is actually an advantage: no wind, no frost, no surprises.

Frequently asked questions about the Küchenchef

Will the flat smell after smoking?

With proper exhaust routing, no more than after cooking – the smoke goes outside, not into the room. When opening the door, residual smoke escapes like steam from an oven; the hood catches it.

Can the Küchenchef also do cold smoking?

Yes – with a cold smoke generator instead of heating, like every Beelonia smoker. Cheese and small cold smoke projects work particularly well indoors in a controlled manner; you can find the instructions in the article Smoking cheese.

Why is it more expensive than a Smoky?

Indoor technology costs money: a controlled electric unit, sealed construction and exhaust connection. If you can smoke outside, you are better off with the Smoky or F-series – the Küchenchef is the solution for everyone else.
